The end of the first day of a very trying weekend ends with a Tru Blood Series II and a bowl of Stoney Creek Black Cherry ice cream.
More ice cream will be needed before the weekend is out.

Peanut butter chocolate chip cookies.
I've been transfixed by cookies lately. Not sure why but, lately, whenever I've needed a bit of a pick me up--emotional or simply an energy boost--I want a cookie. A couple of overpriced, over preserved and underbaked monstrosities later, I finally baked up a batch of peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies. The recipe? From the back of the teddy beared peanut butter jar, zhuzhed with 100g of dark chocolate chips.
